Binding the Mold
After coating all of your sand resin mold sections in the graphite alcohol mixture and burning them out, you now need to prepare the mold for the metal pour. To do this you will first need to glue all of the section together along the areas where metal will not be flowing with silicone sealant. you will also need to drill multiple holes in the mold, one large hole that's at least 2 in in diameter and other smaller holes about 1 in in diameter as vents. You will then need to attach a sand resin pour cup with the sealant above the large pour hole that you drilled into the mold. Last, you will need to bind the sections with steel cable to keep the mold from coming apart when metal is poured into it. Due to the fragility of the sand resin mixture i also cut four wedges to take the pressure off the edges of the cables and redistribute it across the whole mold.
Note: Be careful when tightening the steel bands around the mold, if you tighten them too much they could severely damage if not destroy your mold.
